Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing, accessing, or using the Sonari application ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you agree to these terms on behalf of that organization.

2. Description of Service

Sonari is a Shopify application that provides AI revenue attribution, product visibility testing against AI shopping assistants, and product data quality auditing. The Service integrates with your Shopify store through Shopify's official APIs.

3. Account and Access

Access to Sonari is provided through your Shopify store installation. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Shopify account. You must be an authorized user of the Shopify store to install and use Sonari.

4. Billing and Subscriptions

Sonari offers free and paid subscription plans. All billing is handled through Shopify's billing system. By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorize Shopify to charge the applicable fees. You may cancel your subscription at any time through the Sonari app settings or your Shopify admin. Refunds are subject to Shopify's billing policies.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
  • Use the Service to scrape, harvest, or collect data from AI platforms in violation of their terms
  • Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service without written consent
  • Intentionally submit misleading or harmful product data through the Service

6. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. You retain ownership of your store data. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process your data as needed to provide the Service.

7. AI Model Interactions

Sonari sends product data to third-party AI models (including Claude, GPT-4o, and Gemini) to test visibility. While we take care to exclude customer PII from these queries, AI model responses are generated by third parties and we cannot guarantee their accuracy. AI visibility scores and recommendations are informational and should not be relied upon as the sole basis for business decisions.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, and features, is owned by Sonari. Your product data, store content, and business information remain your property. Aggregate, anonymized insights derived from the Service may be used to improve our products.

9. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Sonari is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the Sonari app. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
